Demouldability of mixtures and mould clogging
This study on the clogging of moulds during rubber injection moulding was carried out by the Laboratory for the Research and Testing of Rubber and Plastics (LRCCP), a Cetim laboratory partner. It provides an update on:
• the mould clogging parameters during the injection and compression moulding of vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic elastomers;
• the methods that make it possible to characterise the nature of the clogging and the means available to limit or avoid it.
The study presents the results of the testing and recent examples of the materials; it also includes a bibliography and glossary.
