Visit the flash conferences at Midest 2015!
From 17 to 19 November 2015, experts will be speaking on the new challenges facing the mechanical engineering industry and the solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises and industries during flash conferences to be held at the joint FIM‑Cetim “Place de la mécanique” stand. Some topics that will be addressed include smart mechanical engineering, multiphysical tests, additive manufacturing and noise.
Flash conferences have been a key event of Midest, the international industrial sub‑contracting show, for the past several years. Accordingly, the 45 th edition, which is scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 November 2015 at the exhibition park in Paris Nord Villepinte, France, will feature twenty 30-minute technological conferences led by Cetim experts and a representative from the UNM (Union de Normalisation de la Mécanique, the Standardisation office for mechanical engineering), at the “Place de la Mécanique” stand (6K92).
This year’s agenda includes a presentation of the Industry of the future, from the concept to the actions for implementing the project in companies as well as a detailed explanation of the Quilted Stratum Process (QSP), the high-speed composite pilot line. The QSP is based on a patented technology that stems from scientific work conducted with the Comp’Innov laboratory and Onera, and its industrial development is carried out in partnership with three French mechanical engineering companies that specialise in production processes, PEI, Compose and Loiretech. Amongst these conferences, one entitled “Environmental impact boosting your competitiveness: anticipate in view of the Plant of the future”, will put the spotlight on the technological offerings available to industrial players to reduce their environmental footprint in addition to the support programmes in this area, such as the regional collective actions C2D in the Paris region and C2D Pro in Rhône-Alpes. Another conference “Robotics in the Plant of the Future” will take stock of the market and best practices with a special focus on collaborative robotics. Yet another, “Engineering of multiphysical tests” will look at a new test strategy designed to help companies reduce the time for placing their products on the market and the costs of tests via a multidisciplinary approach.
Midest 2015 will also see the unveiling of “The priority technological solutions for 2020 in mechanical engineering”. This is the latest edition of a forward-thinking exercise jointly undertaken every five years by FIM and Cetim in conjunction with Cetiat, Cetim-Ctdec and Institut de soudure.
