Two financing packages to modernise SMEs
The Banque publique d’investissements BPIfrance (a public investment bank) has set up two loans dedicated to the Industry of the Future. These products are intended to fund equipment as an effort to modernise SMEs.
Good news for companies. In connection with the efforts of the Industry of the Future Alliance, the Banque publique d’investissements BPIfrance has developed two loans designed to help companies finance and thereby modernize their facilities, under the Investments of the Future project. The goal is to assist companies in transforming their business models, their organisations, their design and marketing methods.
Growth and technology
These two products, that have been named Industry of the Future Loan – Growth and Industry of the Future Loan - Technologies and Future applications, are aimed at co-funding the investment programs which foster the increase and modernisation of industrial capacities in France, and the marketing of new products through the implementation of technologies and practices of the Industry of the Future.
Both loans are intended for financially sound SMEs and independent intermediate-sized companies that have been in operation for more than 3 years and which have received a Fiben rating of 3++ to 5. The loans will be granted for technological investment programmes carried out in France with a view to modernising and improving the production of the company in terms of costs, quality, speed of performance, flexibility as well as working conditions in the company. The amounts of the loans offered will range from 100,000 to 5 million Euros over 7 years. These two products can be accumulated but must be associated with a financial partnership for an equivalent amount to the “Industry of the Future” loan.
It is worth noting that an investment to simply enhance company capacity is not eligible and financial restructuring operations are excluded. Companies must also refer to a list of topics for Industry of the Future technologies issued by BPIfrance.
