Plant of the future being prepared in the Paris region
Within the scope of the Plan Industries Île-de-France, the Paris region has started the technical and technological modernisation of production tools and proposes a suitable plan to help small and medium industries in the region to meet their needs.
Further to the presentation of the 34 industrial plans of the new Industrial France, the national “Plant of the future” plan was officially launched on 7 May, 2014. The purpose of this plan is to make up for the lost time in terms of investment which is the cause of the stall of the French industry. It will also allow our regions to put their production tools in prime position and make them ready for the next industrial revolution. A road map has been issued (steered by Fives and Dassault Systèmes) and the Regions have been contacted and asked to become an integral part of the implementation of the programme. The target is to allow the French industry to have high-performance, flexible, safe, environmentally-friendly and energy efficient plants which will also place the human being at the heart of its model.
The Plant of the future in the Paris region
The Paris Region has decided to take up the challenge by integrating a “Plant of the future” chapter into the current Plan Industries Île-de-France implemented since 1 st January 2013 and which proposes a full range of actions suited to the needs of the small and medium industries of the Paris Region. The stated goal of the Paris Region is to encourage companies of all sizes to implement a more productive and efficient organisation by placing man at the heart of the process.
The actions of the Plan Industries Île-de-France are divided into two chapters, with distinct and complementary steps. The whole plan relies on the specific knowledge of the companies which take part in the industry of the Paris Region:
- The “Plant of the future” chapter is aimed at allowing companies to optimise their production tools;
- The objective of the “Commercial development” chapter is to provide small and medium companies with additional means to promote their activities and win new markets.
As the initiators of this process, the regional Council of the Paris Region and the French State rely on a wide network of partners to deploy this plan: ASTech, Finance Innovation, Mov’eo, Comité Mécanique Île-de-France, RAVI (the Automobility and Vehicles network of the Paris Region). They can also count on financial support from the European Union.
