JEC World Composite 2016: Cetim’s QSP platform put on show.

The next JEC World Composite Show & Conferences will be held from 8 to 10 March 2016 at Paris Nord Villepinte. This new edition of the major composites event has taken on an even larger dimension (JEC Europe has been changed to JEC World for 2016) and will gather representatives from approximately one hundred countries to see innovations in composite processes and materials. This year’s guest of honour will be South Korea.

JEC World 2016 will serve as a platform for Cetim to present the model of the Quilted Stratum Process (QSP) ply layup module for the high-speed composites pilot line which has already received a JEC Innovation Award on 2 June 2015 in Houston. Cetim’s experts will be present at the dedication QSP area and during the conferences to showcase the latest innovation and achievements in this respect.

It is worth noting that the QSP module, which has received financing of 4.8 million Euros from Cetim and the Pays de la Loire Region, is based on a patented technology that stems from scientific work conducted with the Comp’Innov laboratory and Onera, and is developed in partnership with three French mechanical engineering companies that specialise in production processes, PEI Pinette, Compose and Loiretech. It is incorporated in the high-speed composite pilot line of Technocampus Composites in Nantes, created in partnership with IRT Jules Verne.

Watch the video, to see the presentation of the QSP module in action at Technocampus in Nantes, on 3 November 2015.
