Flowserve validates a turbine pump with Cetim.
On its Arnage site, in Sarthe, Flowserve does not produce only standard pumps. Upon request, the manufacturer can also provide less conventional models. One example is the 75 kW turbine pump developed for the Suez group. The specific characteristic of this pump is that it can operate, on option, in pump mode or in generator mode. Before delivering the pump to its customer, Flowserve asked Cetim to confirm its compliance with the requirements of the specifications. To this end, Cetim inter alia adapted its test platform to integrate energy recovery capabilities as well as instruments to measure the produced electricity. In a little over a day, the tests which took place in the presence of a Suez representative, proved to be conclusive. The turbine pump displays the behaviour and performance expected for service.
