Meet Cetim during the Esope symposium
The international event dedicated to pressure equipment, of which Cetim is a founding member, will open its gates from 13 to 15 September 2016 in Paris, France.
Every three years, Esope becomes the place to be for all players in the pressure equipment and industrial sheet metal working sectors. Every new edition of Esope, the event organised by Afiap (the French Association for Pressure Equipment Engineers), gathers an exhibition and an international symposium that scientists, industrialists, service providers, executives from the French and European administrations, technical experts and approximately 1,000 visitors and 500 conventioneers would on no account miss. The 2016 edition will be held from 13 to 15 September 2016 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, and the main focus will be: “Construction and life of pressure equipment: the challenges of globalisation”.
The agenda of the symposium will feature plenary sessions, a panel session, technical sessions and a poster session. As a founding member of Afiap and the Esope event, along with Institut de Soudure and SNCT, Cetim will actively participate in this year’s edition, as its experts will take part in nine technical sessions:
- Comparison of the welding imperfections acceptance criteria specified by codes and standards,
- Measurement of the welding energy: good practices and pitfalls to be avoided,
- Addition of elastomeric nanocharges for oil and gas applications,
- Thermoplastic composite pressure vessels manufactured by laser tape winding: design, simulation, fabrication, tests,
- Recent developments in phased array testing standards,
- New edition of GEA guideline for acoustic emission testing of pressure equipment,
- Evaluation methods for phased array ultrasonic testing of welds,
- Contribution to the design against buckling: application to pressure vessels,
- Development of an optimisation tool for valve gland packing: implementation of experimental protocols.
Cetim will also be exhibiting at stand C7.
