The non-destructive testing techniques, particularly ultrasound and thermography have for several years been important developments related to the development of new sensors and digital techniques for storing and processing information. These techniques allow in particular to develop, for the field control devices whose technology was previously reserved for military or medical fields.
Devices now offer visualizations as imaging, eg ultrasound transposed used by physicians. This represents a significant improvement over conventional ultrasound, which gave only a local view, untraceable, and interpretation can be complex, especially for non-specialists, echoes from the inspected area located right sensor
The price of these new control equipment also tends to decrease, making them accessible to a large number of manufacturers.
