Cetim-Certec becomes Cetim Centre-Val de Loire
The technical resources centre for mechanical engineering and materials has changed its name. Its new name reflects its attachment to the region and its desire to play a key role in its ecosystem.
Cetim-Certec has changed its name. As of 12 July 2018, the centre, which has 30 employees on two sites in Bourges and Orléans, has become Cetim Centre-Val de Loire.
The technical resources centre, which has been established in Centre-Val de Loire, France for over 15 years, is deeply rooted in its local economic environment and aims to assist industrial manufacturers on a daily basis in the development and the implementation of their manufacturing processes. The centre leverages on its expertise in mechanical design, metallurgy, metallic additive manufacturing, the implementation of aluminium alloys, mechanical endurance tests, welding and dimensional metrology to support the regional technical-economic development and the competitiveness of the local industrial base.
Several entry points to Cetim
Cetim Centre-Val de Loire also provides valuable access for the region’s industrial manufacturers to Cetim’s complete range of expertise. Cetim has also implemented this approach in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region via Cetim Sud-Ouest, located in Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France), and in the Grand Est Region with Cetim Grand Est, located in Mulhouse, and created through the merger of Cetim-Cermat and CRITT Matériaux Alsace, on 2 July 2018.

This concept relies on all methods and technologies which care for their impact on the environment throughout a product or process life. Though reluctances due to, among others, legal constraints and potentially reduced commercial leeway, sustainable development is certainly a real opportunity for innovation.
This technological focus includes projects relating to : Environment and industrial risk management in order to anticipate compliance to regulations, implementation of eco-design approaches and technologies reducing the environmental impact of processes and products.
