Video: Technological focus on the Industry of the Future: connected maintenance.

This new educational video produced by Cetim as part of the Alliance for the Industry of the Future reviews the areas of optimisation for the maintenance of industrial equipment, to switch from the curative mode to the predictive mode and thus improve competitiveness.

In an extremely competitive world of continuous production, industrial manufacturers want to be able to rely on their production tools at any time. For that purpose, they always need to know the operating condition of their machines, anticipate failures and, whenever necessary, they need to act fast, at the best moment and in the best conditions possible. So, how can this be done? By using connected maintenance technologies: connected response tools which make operators’ work easier, Condition Monitoring for efficient monitoring of machines, and advanced data management to analyse potential risk situations and schedule optimised maintenance of the equipment. Have a look at these technologies in this video “Technological focus on the Industry of the Future – Connected maintenance” on the Cetim France YouTube channel.

As part of its mission, i.e. the implementation of the French government’s plan with small and medium companies within the Alliance for the Industry of the Future, Cetim offers you the opportunity to discover, in its “Technological focus” and “Account” videos, the key technologies of the Industry of the Future and their implementation within companies.

All these videos, among which the “Technological focus on the Industry of the Future – Connected maintenance”, are available on the Cetim France YouTube channel and on our website, “Videos” section.

Presentation

With the Information System, every actor of a project can be internally interconnected. This system supports the firm's activity and set up skills and knowledge, which thus can be easily accessed and used. On a technological level, a codesign of objects compels all suppliers to be implied in the creation of a usually virtual prototype before it is actually manufactured. Concerning management, it deals with defining or redefining firm strategy and improving its performances.
This technological orientation includes projects relating to knowledge and skill management, industrial performance and extended enterprise management.
