Cetim Sud-Ouest has a website

The Cetim centre of excellence for metrology and inspection of the future has introduced its new website www.cetimsudouest.fr. As such, it is an online gateway to Cetim and its services, especially those provided in Pau (France).

Cetim Sud-Ouest is now online. As a matter of fact, the Cetim centre of excellence for metrology, 3D scanning measurements, non-destructive testing by tomography and associated digital processing recently launched its website www.cetimsudouest.fr. The website features a description of the centre, its services and resources, references, the agenda of events dedicated to metrology or organised in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, which involve Cetim Sud-Ouest, in addition to contact details and all relevant information related to this new entity, thereby providing a gateway for industrial manufacturers in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, to gain access to Cetim and its services.

One website, two roles

This new Cetim facility in Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France) serves the dual purpose of offering high-tech know-how and irrigating the regional industrial fabric. To meet the growing metrology needs of the Nouvelle Aquitaine companies, it offers specific services in the fields of metrology and tomography as featured on the site. These services encompass the calibration of dimensional measuring equipment, calibration in physical measurement, the check of measuring machines, measurement benches and machine tools as well as tomography, 3D inspection of large parts, metrology on 3D machines and reverse engineering. The centre uses various technologies, ranging from contact and contactless 3D measurement to X-ray tomography.

Presentation

With product modelling and simulation potential solutions can be virtually optimized before they are really implemented. We tend to set up a more efficient design by taking fatigue life into account and optimizing safety factors within a fiabilist approach. The main goal is to achieve much shorter development deadlines. Major improvements are experienced in the field of simulation dealing with more and more complex and multi-physical phenomena.
This technological focus includes projects relating to : fiabilist design of products, functional requirement and performance qualification checking, analysis methods based on customer needs, design of clean and silent products, simulation of product behavior and operation.
