Fatigue Design 2015: new design approaches
For its 6 th edition, the Fatigue Design 2015 Conference will feature the latest scientific breakthroughs in fatigue design, centred on industrial applications. This year’s partner country is the United States.
Over 300 people are expected to attend the next Fatigue Design conference which will be held on 18 and 19 November 2015 in Senlis, France. “The conferences will focus on composite fatigue, assembly fatigue, thermomechanical fatigue, fatigue under severe environment, contact fatigue, vibration fatigue, shape memory alloys, complex loadings, experimental and numerical methods, reliability and the effect of the process on fatigue analysis, among other things”, stated Fabien Lefebvre, from Cetim.
This year, the topic of composite material fatigue will take on even greater importance with the aim being to better understand the damaging mechanisms and to offer new design approaches. Numerical simulation and calculation - test correlation will also be addressed. Reliability-based approach and welded joints are still topical, and additive manufacturing is also on the menu. “We are witnessing the beginnings of what will probably give birth to a dedicated session on this topic in 2017”, added Mansour Afzali from Cetim.
As this year’s partner country is the Unites States of America, major fatigue players from the United States will be in attendance to, inter alia, showcase their scientific and industrial developments.
