FAN 2015: what’s on the menu
There are three main subjects in the programme of this year’s FAN international congress: numerical methods, fan technologies and fan noise. The FAN 2015 congress will take place in Lyons (France) from the 15 th to 17 th of April 2015 and will be the opportunity to discover the latest innovations, regulations and standards and take part in debates.
The three main subjects of the FAN 2015 congress will be noise, technologies and numerical methods applied to fans. This international congress dedicated to fans is organised by Cetim and Cetiat in partnership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (Imeche) and will take place from the 15 th to 17 th of April in Lyons, France. As always, the world’s number one congress for the fan sector will bring together scientific and technical experts as well as fan manufacturers and integrators from dozens of different countries. Here are a few figures to describe FAN 2015: 70 technical presentations in three parallel sessions, 3 conferences and 2 debates with poster sessions. New products, software and measuring instruments will also be presented in an exhibition. As a proof of the uniqueness of this congress, 300 participants attended the 2012 edition. The FAN congress will also be the opportunity to review the latest developments in technologies, prediction and design means and in the international standards and regulations related to this field. More than ever before, during the last three years, the fan industry has seen many changes, particularly in terms of regulations and standardisation. The progress status is different from one country or continent to the other (Europe, the United States, China, Malaysia, etc.), but one thing is certain: the energy efficiency related constraints and requirements have become more stringent. FAN 2015 will be the place to learn more on the progress status of the regulations or standards in different countries, or the ways to integrate new design methods, etc.
