Midest: The outstanding success of Flash conferences
Cetim’s 21 Flash Conferences which were held over three days within the Midest 2014 trade show were attended by 365 professionals: A record!
In 2011, 2012 and 2013, 300 professionals attended Cetim’s flash conferences. All records were beaten this year with 21 conferences attended by 365 attentive and curious participants.
The conference on additive manufacturing was one of the most successful topics and attracted more than 55 CEOs, engineers or technicians. This success shows the importance of this topic for decision makers who had already been many (300) in Saint-Étienne (France) on 16 October 2014. In fact, the strategic partnership between Cetim and CEA Tech on advanced manufacturing and particularly in this topic, shows both entities’ involvement in additive manufacturing and how helpful they can be to companies really willing to invest in this type of manufacturing.
The other major themes addressed during the Midest Flash conferences were Precision electrochemical machining, a real opportunity (35 participants); changes in machining: news and developments (32); innovation in surface technology companies (29); How to easily structure a watch policy in your company? (20); Industrial robotics: from standard to a collaborative approach, Cetim can support you; etc.
These high figures are promising, as they foreshadow pending transformations in workshops and industrial companies’ renewed confidence.
