Vidéo : des simulations plus proches du réel.

The goal of Eikosim, a start-up of the ENS Paris-Saclay mechanical and technological laboratory (LMT), is to integrate mechanical test data directly into the digital design chain with the added benefit of reducing product validation cycles and boosting the confidence of mechanical engineering companies in their simulation results. This will be achieved by using its technology based on HD image correlation algorithms. The original technology and method are uncovered in a step-by-step presentation in the video entitled “Stéréo corrélation: Mise en œuvre du dialogue essais/calcul” (digital image correlation: implementation of test/calculation dialogue), on YouTube.

In partnership with Cetim and Alstom, Eikosim has indeed used its technology during a “bogie” test performed by the centre. The video uncovers all the steps involved in defining the parameters for optimisation and validation of the simulations: camera placement, recovery of the digital model and extraction from the measurement machine, calibration, measurement of “real”-part displacement on the meshing of the digital model and, finally, implementation of the test-calculation dialogue.
