Video: Cetim invites you to check out its Youtube Digital Metal channel
According to Benoît Verquin, Cetim expert in additive manufacturing, metal 3D printing is full of potential. "Metal binder Jetting technology is currently well known in the medical and aeronautical worlds. In the future, with falling production costs, it could cover a wider panel of industrial operators. On this basis, we decided to integrate the technology in our workshops", he commented in a video with the title "Cetim - investing in a Digital Metal machine" available on-line on the Swedish Youtube channel specialised in metal additive manufacturing powders and machines.
In this video, the Cetim expert and Paul Calves, Cetim engineer specialised in power metallurgy and additive manufacturing processes, describe their works in this field and the benefits of Digital Metal technology compared with laser sintering technology on a powder bed, with supporting figures. The data provided by the engineer is taken from a comparative study by Cetim, which is the focus of a second video available on the Swedish site.
The DM P2500 machine by Digital Metal was installed at Cetim in June 2017. Cetim can test and assess the benefits of this technology for industrial firms, as part of the MI-3D platform, which opened officially on 13 November in Saint-Étienne.
