Thermoplastics, star of JEC World 2017
Thermoplastic composites can also be green! This innovation, Ecotreve, will be showcased at the “Composites in action” space (Hall 5a - Stand M81) at JEC World 2017, from 14 to 16 March 2017 in Paris, Porte de Versailles. This project, led by Cetim-Cermat, which is aimed at the recycling and recovery of composite materials, is amongst the innovations highlighted at the fair this year. The QSP (process for producing multi-thickness thermoplastic composite parts) and Spide TP (Filament winding and high-speed laser heating fibre placement process) high-speed processes developed by Cetim and winner of many JEC Awards will also be on display. The fair will also feature a demonstration of robotises non-destructive testing of composite parts. It should be noted that every day during the fair, details about these processes will be discussed during thematic conferences by representatives of the Carnot institutes involved in the Carnot “Manufacturing” sector.
Thermoplastics will also take pride of place during the JEC Conferences World 2017, which will be held alongside the fair. On 14 March, a session coordinated by Cetim will be entirely dedicated to thermoplastics.
