The Industry of the Future Alliance is growing.
Further to the integration of Air Liquide, PFA (Plateforme automobile) and the UIC (Association of chemical industries) in November 2015, the Industry of the Future Alliance has expanded again. Accordingly, at its last Board of Directors’ meeting held on 21 December 2015, FPC (French federation of composites and plastics processing), Jules Verne Manufacturing Valley, Institut de soudure, Cercle de l’industrie, GFI (Grouping of Industrial federations and associations) and Medef were approved as associate members. For its part, the higher education and professional training group CESI has been integrated into the Alliance as an active member in the college of academic members.
These new arrivals have joined the 11 founding members: Afdel, Arts & Métiers ParisTech, CEA, Cetim, FIEEC, FIM, Gimélec, Institut Mines-Télécom, Symop, Syntec Numérique and UIMM.
The Industry of the Future Alliance was created in July 2015. It is chaired by Philippe Darmayan and is geared towards the accomplishment of six priority actions: assisting companies towards the industry of the future, developing the future technological offering; preparing people for the industry of the future (forward thinking actions on co-evolution and training); promoting the industry of the future; strengthening the standardisation actions especially on an international basis; giving value to the existing technological offering.
