Roquette relies on Cetim to inspect a new piece of equipment
Roquette, a family-owned group which develops products and solutions for the pharmacy, nutritional and food markets and other industrial sectors, decided to add a dual manufacturing and design inspection to the acceptance test procedure of a new agitated pressure vessel of approximately 290 m 3. This dual inspection is to be performed by a third party and, consequently, Roquette entrusted Cetim with the check of the calculations to the ASME standards. Cetim’s experts then modelled the complete equipment item and optimised the calculations with numerical tools. Further to the integration of a few load changes applied to the equipment, the new vessel was declared conforming to the design code ASME VIII Division 2 and to standard DIN18800 Part 4 for the buckling of the skirt.
