JEC ASIA 2017: composites on show
The 10 th edition of JEC Asia will be held in Seoul from 1 to 3 November 2017 and will gather together the global players in the composites sector.
After opening its offices in Malaysia earlier this year, this is Cetim’s first opportunity to showcase its solutions in the Asia-Pacific region. These solutions are designed to meet the key challenges in the automotive and aeronautic industries: light weighting of parts and increased production rates, while maintaining optimum performance and characteristics of the materials.
At the trade show, an Innovation Corner will be entirely dedicated to the presentation of Quilted Stratum Process (QSP), a process for a high-speed composite production line of thermoplastic parts in partnership with three French companies specialised in the production processes, PEI Pinette, Compose and Loiretech. This innovation will also be the main focus of a conference led by Christophe Champenois, head of composites activities at Cetim, illustrating an application for the automotive industry. Finally, after winning a “Jec Innovation Award” in Houston, United States in 2015, then in Augsburg, Germany in 2016, this new concept from the French industry closes off its world tour by competing for the JEC Asia “Innovation Award”.
JEC Asia is organised by JEC Group, an international network founded in France in 1996 with some 250,000 experts in the composite industry. This year’s edition will bring together over 4,000 visitors and 200 companies from 50 countries to see the latest technological developments in the composites industry for the aerospace, automotive, carbon fibre, construction, renewable energies, sports and leisure sectors
