Intercut 2017 to showcase many innovations
The Intercut conference, a key venue for meeting and exchanging ideas for all players in the machining industry is organised by the Intercut Network consortium and will be held on 1 and 2 February 2017 at Cetim, Senlis. The agenda will include two important events with conferences on the major breakthroughs in the field and 12 demonstrations in the workshops of the Centre. Some of the topics to be addressed during the conferences include high-potential processes for the world of mechanical engineering: cryogenic milling, precision electrochemical machining (PECM) and 3D metal printing. The first process is intended in particular for the machining of refractory alloys and is used to increase the productivity and quality of machined parts and decrease tool wear. The second process is very promising for finishing, polishing and texturing of part surfaces. The third process relates to cost-effective and productive solutions for the manufacture of small complex parts.
This conference will also showcase systems and equipment to improve the quality of parts by monitoring machining, robotised completion and active damping of vibrations during the process. Most of the demonstrations are practical illustrations of these papers.
