ISO dimensioning - GPS specification handbook now available in English
Long-awaited by French companies wanting to work outside of our borders and who are part of international groups, the ISO dimensioning - GPS (Geometrical product specification) specification handbook is now available in English.
In a globalised world where companies have to share technical product information, it is essential that this information is clear and precise in order to be understood and accepted by all. This is the aim of geometrical product specification (GPS), a means of communication through which various company players exchange unambiguous information about the admissible geometries of the produced parts, via a description of their dimensional and geometric specifications, as well as their surface condition. This handbook outlines the rules of use of the associated graphical and symbolic “language” and the latest contributions to the main elements contained in the basic dimensioning and tolerancing standards.
In the same way as the French version updated in 2015, this version was created by Cetim in conjunction with the UNM and supported by the FIM, Cetim-Ctdec, Cetim-Certec, Cetim-Cermat, LRCCP, Artema and Symop.
