FAN Noise 2018 : a conference in the wind !
The international conference on noise, aerodynamics, applications and fan systems will be held on April 18-20, 2018 in Darmstandt, Germany. Registration is open with an early-booking price for those who register before March 6 th.
Aimed at designers, manufacturers, and users of fans and systems, this forum brings together in one place technical conferences, round tables, an exhibition space, and Keynote events to foster exchanges and improve knowledge in the field.
This year, the round tables cover three key topics which impact the sector : different global legislation on energy efficiency, market surveillance, and performance validation tools. Keynote events are given every morning with experts from all over Europe: Dr.-Ing. Georg Scheuerer on the topic « Turbomachinery - Past and Future of CFD Simulations”, Tony Breen on “regulatory issues and standardization” and finally Christoph Brander presents « design of the fan system of the Gotthard tunnel ». The technical conferences, of which there are six per day, focus on three main themes including fan applications and systems, noise and aerodynamics. Finally, this year the exhibition area hosts 14 specialists including Cetim and Cetiat, giving visitors the opportunity to dialogue with top experts about their projects.
A presentation session is organized the first day from 14-1530 to give visitors the chance to discover the latest market solutions and services offered by exhibitors.
Jointly organized by Cetiat, Cetim, The University of Siegen and the Technical University of Darmstadt, the international FAN Noise Conference, held every three years, brings together members of the community of designers, manufacturers, and users of fans and systems.
