Ewgae 2018: call for papers open until February 9th
The 33 rd edition of the Ewgae Conference will be held at Cetim from 12 to 14 September 2018. The deadline for the call for papers has been extended to February 9 th, 2018.
For the past 46 years, Ewgae, the benchmark international conference on acoustic emission, has aimed to share the latest developments in the field. This widespread and quick non-destructive testing method is suited to applications designed to check the integrity of large structures and lessens maintenance time and costly shutdowns. It is a passive technique which allows inter alia real-time damage monitoring of components in operation. Acoustic emission has seen constant technological progress. Some of the themes that will be addressed at Ewgae 2018 include AE testing, monitoring and characterisation of materials, location of defects using AE, corrosion detection and leak detection using AE, as well as the possibilities of applications in various sectors of activity, in addition to detection and processing of AE signals and AE data acquisition systems and processing software. Simultaneously with the conferences, a scientific and technical exhibition will bring together the main players in this field.
