Composites: three days to understand and tackle new challenges
From 3 to 5 November 2015, Nantes will once again be the headquarters for composite innovations and markets in France. These three days of specialised events will kick off with the technical day organised on the Cetim space of Technocampus Composites. This year’s main focus will be the progress made in the cost-effective mass production of medium-and large-series composites. Two years ago, Cetim, in cooperation with its joint laboratory Comp-Innov bringing together École Centrale de Nantes, University of Nantes, ENS Cachan, CNRS and Cetim, discussed and demonstrated various strategies for innovation using composite materials. For the 2015 edition, experts and industrial players will be presenting the progress made in this regard with achievements such as the high-speed QSP line and the tangible examples in the aerospace and automotive sectors. Find out more on Cetim.fr, “Agenda” section.
The last two days, 4 and 5 November 2015, will be devoted to the “Composites Meetings”, a business convention coordinated by the EMC2 division, which will take place at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes. This year, Composite Meetings will feature “Green Composites”, an exhibition on the “green” initiatives led by the industries in the sector. This will be the opportunity for companies to showcase their product innovations and the optimisation of their in-house processes in areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction and recovery as well as the use of renewable composites.
In the wake of Brazil in 2013, the 2015 edition will be focused on Japan and its leading edge composite material companies. French SMEs will be able to learn about the particularities of this market and establish direct contacts with Japanese industrial and institutional players.
