Comap is taking advantage of regulatory energy audits
By virtue of Directive 2012/27/UE, companies with more than 250 people are obliged to perform an energy audit of their sites and to renew it every four years. In order to comply with regulations, Comap, a French company specialising in plumbing and heating equipment for the construction industry, entrusted Cetim with the auditing of its main three production sites in France, and of its automobile fleet, pursuant to standards NF EN 16247. But that was only the beginning! The Aalberts Industries group’s subsidiary took advantage of this to ask Cetim to perform an accurate consumption analysis and to draw up improvement plans, including with regard to processes. Short-term savings represent 15% of electrical consumption and 30% as regards fuel. The proposed improvements concern lighting, compressed air management and some specific processes and Comap has decided to extend the approach to other sites.
