The Carnot sectors unveiled during the “17-20” event
On 6 July from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the “Maison de la Chimie” in Paris, the annual meeting of the Carnot Institutes network will highlight Carnot’s sector-specific actions, including Manufacturing, focusing on innovation for processes.
Add rather than subtract, combine rather than machine, additive manufacturing is overturning practices and value chains and completely changing part manufacturing processes. This approach is breaking down frontiers between design and production with fast implementation, the creation of complex shapes which were not feasible until now… Not forgetting, and above all, the technology highlighted by the Carnot Cetim institute at 17-20 Carnot, the annual meeting of Carnot Institutes, on 6 July 2016 at the “Maison de la Chimie” in Paris.
Round tables and an exhibition
This event will particularly provide information focusing on the recent restructuring of the institutes into sectors, in order to allow SMEs and intermediate-sized companies to access, more simply, all the technical resources and skills they require to meet their R&D requirements more effectively. An exhibition area open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. will provide an opportunity to discuss the situation with Carnot sector managers, allocated to 8 fields: Manufacturing, Drugs, Extraction industries and initial transformation, Aeronautics, Automobile and mobility, Fashion & Luxury, Sport and well-being, Energies. In parallel, several round tables and speeches covered the details of some of these fields: Carats, which supports SMEs in the fashion, luxury and Manufacturing fields, focuses on innovations for processes, led by Cetim.
