Optimdata introduces the Internet of Things in factories

Thanks to the Internet of industrial things and to the analysis of control data, the SME based in the Paris region helps manufacturers and integrators to optimise the use of machines and production lines throughout their service life in customer companies.

Optimdata fulfils the dreams of many industrial manufacturers who want to join the industry of the future without massively investing into connected equipment. With its Productinuse application, the Start-up created in 2015 by two former Dassault Systèmes employees, offers an alternative: using information already available on machines without adding any additional sensors. In fact, the application, which works on iOS and Android, aggregates and analyses the data already used for the control and management of industrial facilities. Then, the application obtains information related to machine and production line failures, in an understandable form for the operator.

Industrial Big Data

The heart of the system is driven by algorithms which make it possible to analyse a lot of heterogeneous data, difficult to correlate. Situation detection processes are defined based on this information in order to report a notice or an alert as soon as an anomaly is recognised as such. Optimdata's target is industrial equipment manufacturers and integrators which can thus shift from product economy to service economy by offering a service related to the use of their machines, based on performance maintenance over time. The European market is estimated to 350 million euros per year, just for special machines…
