“Faux-fuyons!” in video on France Télévision

The France Télévision information website relays FIM’s message with a report on the exhibition which denounces the dangers of counterfeiting.

“Faux-Fuyons” draws attention! Since its opening on 20 March 2017, more than 1,000 people have already visited the exhibition organised by the Federation of mechanical industries (FIM) on the premises of Cetim in Senlis, to condemn the harmful effects of counterfeiting.

It is a considerable threat for companies whose intellectual property is pillaged and for end users who are exposed to high risks by using products that do not comply with standards. France Télévision was well aware of this as it published a report on its information website covering the inauguration of the exhibition, on 24 March. The report includes accounts from the chairman of the FIM and the CEO of Cetim, the commissioner of the exhibition as well as the operation to destroy counterfeiting automobile parts.

The “Faux fuyons!” exhibition is organised in partnership with Cetim, the FIEEC (French association of electrical, electronic and communication industries) and the member unions of the FIM: Artema (mechatronics manufacturers association), Cisma (construction, infrastructure, steel industry and handling), Syneg (French national association of catering equipment manufacturers) and Unitam (Trade federation of tableware, houseware and related activities). It is opened to the public until 30 April 2017, at Cetim Senlis facility.

Watch the France Télévision report on the inauguration of “Faux fuyons!” on the francetvinfo website and the video showing the destruction of counterfeiting products on the Cetim Facebook page.
