Everything you need to embark upon the industry of the future
Although the industry is firmly focused on the future, many industrial manufacturers are still uncertain as to how to go about accomplishing this and with whom. To address these concerns, the FIM, member of the Industry of the Future Alliance has published a "Guide pratique de l’usine du futur – Enjeux et panorama de solutions" (Guide to the plant of the future: Challenges and solutions).
At the same time, the Alliance has created tools (documents, videos, technological building blocks, etc.) to help companies determine their own strategic vision and to integrate the fundamental technological elements (robots, digitalisation, additive manufacturing, etc.).
550 specialists and 4 billion euros
In terms of the human aspects, 550 specialists in mechanical engineering, digital technology, automation, etc. have been qualified at the national level. They are active in the field alongside the members of the regional councils, Direccte, professional organisations, BpiFrance and representatives of the Alliance which all serve as gateways towards the support mechanism set up for the companies.
As part this approach, the government has allocated 4 billion euros to aid the Industry of the Future programme and assist companies in their transformation (extra depreciation, subsidised loans, etc.). 100 million euros have been devoted to implementing production-oriented solutions and improving expertise in this area.
Across the regions, 2,000 projects aimed at modernising Small, medium and intermediate sized companies will be initiated. The first call for expression of interest, backed by regional funding of 200 million euros has attracted the attention of some one thousand companies. These projects will include diagnostics, investment subsidies, repayable advances and consulting support.
