Cetim strengthens its position in Asia-Pacific with KMTL

Cetim recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Japanese laboratory, KMTL, one of the leading independent material testing laboratories in Asia.

Cetim and the Japanese company Kobe Material Testing Laboratory (KMTL) have just signed a strategic partnership agreement at the JEC Asia fair in Seoul, Korea with the goal of providing industrial manufacturers in the Asia-Pacific region with expanded expertise and unique equipment to support and accelerate the development of their technological innovations.

Under this agreement, Cetim will provide its range of composite and metallic material solutions and services inter alia for the aerospace and automotive sectors. For its part, KMTL, ranking among the leading independent material testing laboratories in Asia, will provide its testing expertise and resources in particular in Japan. This pooling of their capabilities by both partners in regards to the number of testing machines and technicians will particularly benefit the aerospace procurement chain due to the Japanese company’s regional testing centre that has been accredited by Nedcap for non-metallic materials testing (NMMT).

A strategic development

The signing of this agreement is another step in Cetim’s strategy for development in the Asia-Pacific region. As a result, following the opening of its offices in Malaysia last January, the centre has confirmed its commitment to the region by offering local and international industrial manufacturers access to its expertise via local solutions and services.
