360-degree 3D environment Scanner
Cetim’s environment scanner, the Faro laser Scanner Focus 3D, scans large-sized objects in order to characterise their defects. It is also used to survey a building layout and yields a 360° view.
Cetim’s new environment scanner, from Faro Measurement Systems, offers a wide range of features and benefits. It is able to scan a test bench, a bogie, a selective sorting tube or even an entire plant thereby making it possible to record all the measurements, understand the defects or development opportunities by finding the best and most accurate solution to within 2 mm. The Faro laser Scanner Focus 3D has a 130-metre range. With the registration spheres, it can model an entire room and yield a 360° reproduction.
The point clouds obtained during the scan at a speed of 976,000 data points per second, may be combined with the colour photographs taken directly with the integrated colour camera in order to enhance the realistic quality of the renderings. The scanner provides a resolution of up to 70 megapixels.
