Uncertainties in hardness measurements
The purpose of this action was to update and improve the applicability of spreadsheets issued by Cetim to help industrial companies to assess and compute uncertainties in hardness measurements. The first phase of the study consisted in eliminating errors or anomalies without changing the formulas. The next phases will see the integration of the recommendations which appeared in 2006 in standards and the development of spreadsheets for other types of hardness measurements, especially micro-hardness
