Study on characterisation of diamond powder polishing of heading punches and dies
Companies must continuously work to reduce their manufacturing costs and times by optimising the quality and service life of their tools. Polishing of these tools, using the diamond powder spray process, can meet these expectations. After several process characterisation studies, this study made it possible to evaluate the method on several tools resulting from various manufacturing processes, to test them in production, carry out a comparative analysis in relation to the current solution, and to observe the savings, improvements, but also the limits.
