Regulated substances database
In an ever-more demanding regulatory context, it is becoming difficult for businesses to know all the regulations applicable to the substances used and to differentiate their subtleties. At the request of the Cetim “Pumps and valves” trade committee, a dedicated tool has been produced. Based on a search engine using the CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) number or the CE number of a substance as keys, it identifies the regulations involved and likely to impact a business in various ways. Its regulated substances database (BDSR), which cross-references substances and regulatory texts (REACH, RoHS, food contact, potable water, etc.), has been updated. The tool, an Excel file incorporating instructions for use, also provides record sheets describing the various texts of the regulations.
