Motor currents signal analysis for the detection of pump defects: implementation of the methods and experience plan
The purpose of this study was to examine the feasibility of multiple diagnosis methods of centrifugal and positive-displacement pumps based only on the analysis of electrical supply signals (currents and voltages).
The study consisted in defining an experience plan for the simulation tests of a list of mechanical defects on a centrifugal pump and in establishing various new functionalities to be implemented in the signal analysis and computer-aided diagnosis tool.
