Influence of heat treatments on the properties of a 17-4PH steel in laser melting on powder bed

Following the first action carried out on titanium TA6V ELI and maraging steel 300, this study (S1940) was undertaken on stainless steel 17-4PH to evaluate the usefulness of heat treatments specific to this grade obtained by laser melting on powder bed, such as stress relief tempering, but also to see if it was necessary to perform solution treatment beforehand and to compare the parameters of hardening by precipitation in relation to those of wrought material.
