Electromagnetic NDT of stamped sheets and quenched parts
The purpose of this study is to determine whether new NDT techniques available on the market (such as the 3MA system) can replace destructive testing to characterise or monitor changes in the mechanical or structural properties of materials after a forming operation or a heat or thermochemical treatment operation. Two cases are addressed: assessment of the mechanical characteristics of stamped sheets and characterisation of the surface induction hardening depth.
