STAE chooses on-demand collaborative engineering
STAE – an SME based in Antony (France) – opted for the Pl3C collaborative platform. The result was a return on their investment in less than 6 months and double-digit growth for 3 years.
A designer, manufacturer and integrator of electronic equipment, STAE chose the PI3C platform, an on-demand collaborative engineering solution that was tested as part of the PC2M collaborative project. Set up by Cetim at the initiative of the Île-de-France Mechanical Engineering Committee with the support of Europe and French national and regional authorities, this solution improves communication with customers by giving a complete overview of the progress of their projects and a historical record. It also operates in real time and securely.
“The PC2M collaborative project gave us the opportunity to launch our project with zero risk whilst benefiting from financial support over 6 months”, explains Rémy Marchand, sales manager at STAE. “We found a technological and economic solution that was easy to set up and adapt and suited our needs entirely. We accompanied it internally by setting up a project methodology to take maximum advantage. The result was a return on the investment in less than 6 months and double-digit growth for 3 years whilst the world economic crisis has hit the industry full in the face”.
STAE employs 90 people and has a turnover of more than 14 million euros, 50% of which is from small and medium production runs and 50% from industrial-scale developments. PI3C is a company based in Châlons-en-Champagne (France) and is closely linked to Cetim.
